Having not used that function, I can't offer any advice. I only know that it was working this year, based on a post someone else made about the feature.
I know we're looking to get the forum software (hopefully) updated to the latest version at some point and it's possible that bugs, such as ignore not working, could be fixed with that update.

The problem for admins in troubleshooting ignore is that it is, by design, disabled for admins.

Are others experiencing this, too?

I'm on my cellphone now but later today I'll look into this when I can get to my computer.

After 46 years of marriage, I've discovered that my wife doesn't need an ignore feature since she already knows how to tune me out.
