Just saying hi. I'm a recent first-time Larrivee owner with thanks to Jean Jr. for helping pick the best match. Always been a dreadnought player, so opted for a D-09 (factory installed StagePro Anthem). It's a beauty! Will join me on some recording this July. I'm a guitarist/educator based in Ottawa.

Wow. Four posts in 10 years.
Congrats on your new D-09.
When you do some recording this July, please consider posting some of your work where we can listen to it.

Indeed! Forgot I was a member here... Thanks to Queequeg for getting me sorted. :)
Congrats! D09s are very cool. Share a pic if you can.
Nice!
Congratulations. I love the looks and sound of the D-09 and D-10. I've recently become interested in the high end Larrivee's and even a gloss finish. I'm trying to decide if I want to downsize what I have and get one of these or possibly a L-09 or L-10. Please share some pics.
Trying to figure out how to post pics here... ?

If you select the red "reply" button, you have an option to drag and drop pics.

Thanks - still not working for me (plus my Reply button blue, not red).
My button is blue also. And I have to resize my pics to medium. Here is my attempt.

It says "click or drag files here to attach them" near the bottom of the window.
I am sure your reply button works the same. I think colors are setting related.
There is no minimum number of posts to post pics.
I think there is a max size. I never seem to get near it.

Wow! Look at those gorgeous satin dreads!! Those browns are stunning.
Few not perfect iPhone pics... (thx for help, all). Played a Martin D-28 for a long time, also higher-end Japan-built Yamahas. Accustomed to gloss finishes and dreadnought size. D-09 a great match. I'm primarily a flatpick player, inspired by jazz fusion players a la John Abercrombie, Jan Akkerman, John McLaughlin, Al DiMeola...
Fantastic! I bet the electronic pickup system is top notch.

Mostly playing the guitar acoustically, but - the few times I've plugged it in - I was able to get some very useable, natural timbres. The tuner function is simple but accurate, plenty of eq options.
Congrats rwe333, :nice guitar:
Beautiful guitar!

Nice! What brand guitar rack is that? I have a Griffith 5-guitar rack but can only get 3 acoustics in it.

The brand name is Hercules, and I bought it last year on Amazon for less than $100. I believe Amazon Prime days are coming up in July so maybe a good price will be available on this. It can hold 5 dreadnoughts easily. I recently sold that Martin 000-15SM at the end so now I can get another guitar to take its place.
Why sell the OOO-15SM? Just curious.
Tried one once and thought was decent.

I had owned two Martin D-15s prior to the 000-15SM. I sold the second dreadnought because it had a flaw that I didn't put on it. In spite of my luthier saying to keep it, I just couldn't get this out of my mind and sold it. I then decided to order a new one from Sweetwater. Having watched this instrument I've seen the different quality of woods that differ from the front and back on these Martin's, I decided not to gamble. Sweetwater did have this 000-15SM in stock and the pics looked great. I think this may be due to the fact that the instrument is $200 more than the 15 Martin's. And I've seen great comments on the instrument. Anyway, it sounded great, but I never really got attached to it. It doesn't sound as good as their 14-fret version 000. And it didn't have the big voice of the D-15 or the looks either. I hate thin body instruments. It isn't a real 12-fret with the bridge moved down but the upper bout is built up. So, it is gone. I may get another hog instrument, but it will be a dreadnought. I think it is only effective for the modern pieces I play and not the classical pieces, so I am considering this. But it is a different sound from what I have now. It is between this and a 12-fret dreadnought. My prettiest sounding guitar is the
SD-40R coupled with nice power. I wonder if a 12-fret dreadnought will be even better. But whatever it is, Larrivee will be making it.
Understand.
Re the 12 fret thing, I'm on the same page. Push the bridge down or go home :)
I recently played a Guild D-20 all hog that was really nice. It was also made in Oxnard, California and a great price.
