Recorded this old English Christmas tune on my JCL 40th Anniversary Edition.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Nice arrangement. I'm not sure if Praetorius wrote this or just arranged it. He compiled a work called Syntagma Musicum and I think these are arranged works by him that he collected. And this is a more realistic acoustic guitar sound.

William, you may very well be correct.  He was an active composer and collector of 17 century music in Germany. So many great composers came out of Germany and Austria.
