Title: A new Baker T Pro
Post by: teh on October 14, 2024, 08:19:32 AM
This summer I acquired my first ever electric guitar: a Larrivee Baker T Pro with a Swamp Ash body, Quilted Maple top without a pick guard* and a Maple neck which is comfortable to play. Like my acoustic Larrivees, this guitar has exceeded my expectations in every way.

* With the exception of my 12 string (LV03MT) which is used a lot for rhythmic strumming, I chose not to add a pick guard to any of my other Larrivees. After all, why would I want to cover up the wood grain and top color of these guitars?

The Baker T was designed by Matt Larrivee and features two pickups, a three way switch and both a volume and tone knob. It's interesting to note that my son has a Telecaster, a Taylor electric and a strat style Peavey and he likes the Larrivee the best.

The slim profile of the maple neck is also ideally suited for my left hand and style of play. As I put my fishing gear and bike away for the winter, my guitars will keep me busy.

If you get a chance, give one a try.
