Title: Wizz Jones and the British folk scene
Post by: StringPicker6 on January 15, 2022, 10:09:54 PM
I've been spending the last few COVID months listening to the amazing music of Bert Jansch. Recently, I watched a documentary film about him and the 60's British folk revival posted on YouTube called "Acoustic Routes". Great film, but I was really impressed by a musician presented in the film named Wizz Jones. After some more research I found that he's a great guitarist and singer, but never really chased the fame that Jansch, Renbourn and others found. Anyway, Wizz Jones is in his early 80's now but still plays and posts on YouTube. Has anyone heard of him before?  I'm really enjoying his music!

I didn't hear about him, but after I read your post, I found a lot of songs by Wizz Jones. I liked his songs, thanks.

I'm glad you checked him out, guilover. Here's one of the first videos I saw that got me into his music:
