OK I don't buy any more guitars but I had no choice in the matter it keep me up thinking of it.Its an L10 Koa.Its a lefty that I plan on making it a righty.I don't have a bridge right now but I plan on contacting Larrivve to get one.For now a new righty nut so I can play it.It needs a fret dressing and I will be installing an a Baggs active Ibeam in it.
Congratulations Rob!
Enjoy.
Thanks bud I've got to say I have never had a guitar call my name...it was kinda creepy...BUT....I liked it :doh
Congrats, may you enjoy it forever.
I'm looking forward to seeing the pics.
I'm curious as to how different it sounds from a regular L-10.
Keep us posted on your impressions after you get it converted.
I've only played it as a righty trying and failing lefty {strings upside} and only in the store so at this time I can't really say.I'll know more in a couple of days after I do a couple of paying jobs first.
Big congrats, Rob! :cheers
:nice guitar: Uncle oooo an L-10 Koa - living large Friend living Large
Rob, that IS nice looking! I love those older, "classic Larrivee" fretboard inlays! Reminds me of "the good old days" at Larrivee!
Nice subtle Koa, too - but I'm betting it has the tone - it spoke to you, so it must!
:nice guitar:
:donut :coffee
Good snag, Rob.
Repurpose it and play it in good health.
:cheers
Andrew THANK YOU so much for helping me out so much :cheers
Ok, so I'm sitting here smiling for you and your new guitar! Congratulations!
I'm not sure if there is anyone at Larrivee right now so any of you who know anything about sr.#'s the # is 262XX.One more thing it came stock with an active Fishman UTS which I'm replacing.I just finish the fret dressing and now its time for a new bone saddle and nut. :bgrin:

Once again Andrew THANK YOU. :cheers
It was born Nov.26 1998.
I thought it was a 98 or 99 by the inlays.Only thing left to do is make the new nut which I will do tomorrow THEN its play time. :nana_guitar
Congrats Rob!! :nice guitar:
Well no new nut today as money jobs come first.Had a cool 80's Harmony short scale bass to set up,an Epi LP need so quike twicking and a string change,a nice Master Built Epi from China that needed some adjustments by the way really cool guitar and a 60's Martin D35 that needed the fret ends filed and rounded. So a good day even though I didn't get to work on my own stuff.
OK she's at that point were I just need to play her before any more tweeking.taking her back to the store were I got her to kinda show her off.If I can get my best bud to come by maybe a sound video so you can hear her. Then I'll have to ask Andrew to review and best.Who knew That I could get user idiot tecky, nice to have friends...I hope.
Really looking forward to that, Rob. Congrats again - I'm glad you got this one! :nanadance :nana_guitar
OK no video today but tomorrow for sure.Had 2 of the guitarist {I hate them there so good} I know played her the first a jazz player liked the darker sound it got acoustically. The other was the guy I bought it from he also commented on the darker tone BUT what really got him was how in tune it was with a lefty saddle and strung righty. He said it was more intune them some other guitars he's played.Well thats all for now have a good Day/night. :wave

So you haven't converted the bridge/saddle yet?
I haven't had my L-09 FM converted yet, either, but I'm playing it strung up lefty, and I'm not having any major intonation problems. I forget that it hasn't been converted yet! :thumb
