Title: The "Borging" continues
Post by: skyline on February 25, 2020, 10:00:24 AM
Of course not everyone reads music - but for many sheet music was a gateway to wonderlands.

A local shop here made an incredible go of selling print editions for the last twenty years, by really listening to their customers. Sadly . . .

"We have some exciting news to share about the future of The Leading Note. In May of this year, our store will become part of Long & McQuade, Canada's nationwide music success story!

Our physical store will be integrated into Long & McQuade's Hunt Club location, just west of Bank Street.  This move will bring Long & McQuade's numerous resources and national reach to the next chapter of The Leading Note's print music adventure. "

Now that tablets are large enough and reliable enough, it was inevitable?

For some shop owners, this is the only way to retire.

It does sound like a sad inevitability.
