We have a dear friend who will be celebrating his 100th birthday today, January 1, 2019! He's still tack sharp though his mobility and overall health have suffered greatly these past few years. He does possess one of the best handshakes I've had the pleasure of sharing, and I plan on sharing another this afternoon at his celebration. His wife passed a couple years ago and suffered from Alzheimer's for many years, but he would drive 9 miles to her nursing home, every single day, to have lunch with his bride. He finally stopped driving about three years ago, so he would be driven to their lunches up until her passing. I thought this might be a nice story to share to start off the new year.   

Indeed!  Such an encouragement and example of fortitude and above all love.  May his tribe increase!
