Okay, we've turned the corner, so new thread for this year;
this is the place to show off your GAS acquisitions of 2018...
I've already posted about the two I have on order that should arrive in 2018: lefty Emerald X20 Artisan and Martin J-18...
...there may also be a New Old Stock lefty Larrivee Bakersfield coming my way soon. I told myself I don't need any more electrics at this point in my life (and I DON'T), but this would be hard to pass up, especially since I've always regretted selling my original Bakersfield (which I believe was the first lefty out of the gate from Larrivee).
I'll keep you posted, obviously.
Okay - I don't want to be greedy - your turn!
 :arrow   :arrow
Nothin new for me,wont's "YES" but alas no money. But please all tell s us whats on your "I'm getting".Come mon make me feel bad. :wave
Just sold a 2010 Epiphone LP P90. I really don't plan to buy anything to fix and sell this year. Getting harder and harder to find buyers. But I've always got my ear out... ya never know.
I just sold my 2004 LV03RE. I'm planning a trip to the Larrivee factory this week (3 hour drive!) to check out a few models that I can't find near where I live.

Well, I sold my 2012 Martin D-18 over the weekend - shipped it (to San Francisco) today. It was one of my nicest guitars, but it's also one of my most marketable, and has very similar specs to the J-18 I custom ordered from Martin (and hope to see around May).
Hanging on to my D-35 - even changed the heavy Grover tuners to open backed Gotoh's - very nice.
There will be others sold during 2018... one's on Reverb right now (a non-Larrivee).
Returned a Godin Fifth Avenue P90 archtop and bought a very nice used Godin Fifth Avenue Jazz archtop. Maple goodness. Canadian luthier mastery.
Archtop mid-range punch is cool after years of playing just flat tops. Very smooth when plugged in.
Ovbiously, my Emerald X-20 has arrived, as noted in another thread here...
Last week I sold an Ibanez all mahogany acoustic 000 on Reverb - should arrive with its new owner today.
I have my Larrivee D-03 listed here and on Reverb.
Have a couple lefty Ovations that will be next on the chopping block, along with a couple nylon strings.
Gotta keep downsizing - 'cuz other stuff keeps sneaking in the door!
I tried to buy all the guitars and musical stuff I might ever need before I retired. I figured I wouldn't have the disposable cash at that point and I was right. I'd love to buy a new guitar and talk about it though! Of course, when you have this many guitars, you just pull one out that you haven't (despite what you tell your wife) played in a while, and it's like a new guitar! :bgrin:
Last week I sold a Taylor GA7 and bought an Eastman E6 OM.
So far I've picked up a nice old Larrivee D03 (with pick-up system),
a very nice Martin 000 Rosewood cutaway with the Stunning Fishman Aura system.
Yesterday I grabbed a 50th anniversary Strat (the real one-locally).
More on that in another post.
Sold my 2004 L-03 just a few weeks ago.
But I did pick up that Morgan C Custom (unexpected purchase) about 2 weeks before that. So ..... :whistling:
Sold a larrivee d02 to fund bass equipment, that didn't work out.
Now saving again to maybe get another larrivee
David
I was all set to pick up a Larrivée OO-40MH Pearl edition but I had to go to a different music store to pick up some strings for my Larrivée C38 Classical. I was really there for the strings but I glanced over at the guitar section.
I spotted a Fender PM-2 Standard - Paramount series.
You can hear it here: https://youtu.be/eOK1gO9cP80
Video review: https://youtu.be/j__8AHepC80
Specs and more recordings: https://parlor.guitars/list/fender-paramount-pm-2-standard-parlor
The Fender was on sale for a third of what I was about to pay for the Larrivée OO-40MH, and I would have to add a pickup to the Larrivée.
You're not likely to like this, but the Fender sounds and plays as well as the Larrivée.
The Fender is all solid wood, custom Fishman electronics, it plays well, sounds good, and it came in a custom archtop case.
I saw this same guitar about 6 months ago at the regular price. My sister and I were out shopping for a couch guitar for her. Guitar isn't her instrument, but she thought it would be nice to have one for the house when company dropped in. We both liked the Fender. It was just a little more than her budget. We ended up getting a nice GS Mini without electronics. But I remember being shocked at the time because this new Paramount series is nothing like any Fender acoustic I've ever played.
I spent a couple of happy hours with it this afternoon. It beats the pants off any of the other guitars I've played for less than $1300 CDN (that's about $1000 USD).

In case you're wondering - the strap button on the upper bout is properly reinforced inside.
I've bought a Fender '51 nocaster customshop, a B&G little sister, the B&G Prototype amp and a Loef 00 acoustic. A bit too much but I don't turn 40 every year.

Wow, you really treated yourself! That should make your birthday happy!
Just sold my 2010 Larrivee D-03 Special Edition with Italian Spruce top. Shipped out this afternoon.
I'm making room for the custom Martin that's coming in soon... and just trying to downsize in general (yeah, right...).

Thanks, Mikeymac. They weren't all planned but sometimes you run into some great opportunitys. The nocaster is unbelievable, really like that guitar. I didn't received the others yet. I would like to post some pics but that doesn't work for me no more, seems like the type of file can't be post. Just jpg files, don't know how to change it.

Tried to post a pic of the first guitar I've bought in 2018, it's a customshop Fender '51 telecaster, heavy relic. I don't believe it's gonna be everyones taste.
:thumb posted your pic. Its not difficult. Relicking that guitar - now thats difficult
I just sold my 1973 Guild F-212.
And the buyer is having remorse. *sigh* I agreed to take it back but he gets to pay shipping both ways.
