I've had two Peavey T60's come into the shop and everytime I play one I'm amazed at how good they can play and great they sound.Ya I know they weigh a ton but the tone's that come out of them is just wonderful.S if you see one for sale and you want a really cool sounding guitar BUY IT.Just sayin.....
I've always wanted a T-15 for the scale length.
Peavey never ceases to amaze me. Spartan Radio Shack appearance and (usually) flawless execution. My favorite amp of all times... Studio Pro 40.

I remember playing one when they first hit through a Sunn Beta Lead (transverse speakers) and wishing I could afford that setup SO badly. I had to go for the Aspen strat copy and 20 watt Ampeg at the time.....
That was many moons ago :winkin:

I have a T60, the first year "patents applied for" guitar (1979??)
Don't know the history before I got it maybe 10 years ago (off the Steel Guitar forum), but the pickups are not original.
A guy I knew back in the early 80s had one and I liked it.
The neck on this thing is made for lead playing. A Larrivee feels like a baseball bat in comparison.

What a shame that the pu's were replaced I really like the tone of the originals.
Agree, unclrob - these are great guitars, totally bulletproof, like a GM 3800 V6 engine!
I had one, even though I'm a lefty - others played it from time to time, including my son. Then I finally sold it about 6 months ago to a guy who was very happy to get it. But the necks on these are straight as an arrow, and you're right, the original pickups (and wiring scheme) are great.
