Well, I sort of understand the new Zoom H4n. Trying to integrate the first two practice files with the Audacity free shareware program I downloaded earlier took a bit of doing but I was able to listen to the Zoom files so I must be on the right road. I noticed that with the Zoom I can get a free download of a program called Cubase. Anyone familiar with one or both? I love simple stuff.
Haven't used Cubase, but the Zoom H4n is really quite surprisingly good. :thumb
I've heard that Cubase is a good program sort of like Pro Tools.
I have Cubase SE (2004). Using it with a M-Audio Fast Track USB Interface. I really haven't used it to it's potential. I have mixed down some tracks to MP3 format and then burned to a disc using windows. I can say I was quite surprised at how good the sound quality was. BTW I am at the far end of the scale in the "Geek Squad Dept." so, if I can do it....... On another note, early on I had problems with sound latency while layering tracks, I have overcome that issue by using headphones out of the M-Audio instead of the stereo when recording.
