I have this guitar. It was made June 14th 1993. It has a pickup and battery but I do not know if this was made this way originally. I could not find anything about this instrument on the web. I'd appreciate any information you may have.
Pictures would help.
It should be the L size body with the sharp C cutaway, in rosewood back and sides. I would think it has a lot of Abalone on the guitar body and neck as well. Does that make sense to you? The pickup is probably a Fishman factory installed.

How did you know the date of manufacture? Did you get it from the original owner? Most Larrivee's from that era didn't come with electronics from the factory.
A C-60 :? It's the 1st I heard of this model tho as many of us know Larrivee had some pretty funky means of naming models
Today the 60 series is reserved for the Traditional Series so my guess for this would be related possibly to the 70 series of the late 80's - I'm guessing of course with the 70 = Large sound hole adorned in model "19" ( something between a 9 and 10 series today) style. The 70 was briefly made during very late 80's. Usually had a horse's head or an eagles head.
Can you describe your guitar in detail ( wood type etc) for us ( as some of us really luv this game :-) - and of course a picture is worth a thousand words :?
Also, read the rules please. I'm getting mighty skinny here without my donuts. :whistling:

Now
THAT was confusing!
I am sorry if I broke some rules of this forum by asking a question: I was probably distracted by all the jumping icons. To those who kindly responded:
1) I got the manufacturing date and model (C-60) from Larrivee by sending in the serial number
2) Here is a couple of pictures

:nice guitar: It is simply a florintine cutaway L body. Known as a C series, with some very nice inlay.
The body is rosewood isn't it?
Very nice, it looks like it has an enlarged sound hole.

This just came from Larrivee:
This one you have posted was part of the original 60 series built back in the early 90's. They had large soundholes and either eagle, tiger or horse inlay. They were only available for a short period in time. Nothing really like the 60 series of today.

:thumb as I suspected very similar to the 70 series from a few years before. Why they just didn't call it a C-70 is anybody's guess :?
A beauty at any rate
beautiful! :nice guitar:
I have browsed the net to see if anybody is selling/buying such C-60 1993 and could not find even one. I did not realize how rare it was :) An added bonus is that when played through a combo (AER Alpha) it sound incredibly natural.

I Its the 60 that makes it*rare* I have never heard of it before the current traditional series. I'm thinking a mislabeled. What wood is on the back and sides?
Wonderful information from J M over in the "help identify vintage larrivee thread.....
I wish I could tell you what the wood in the back is but I don't know how to identify it. I'll ask someone who can and let you know.
No expert on older Larrivee's. All I know for certain is this:
That is a Beautiful Guitar!
