:cop: wondering if anyone can help me make sure i am going to use the right wood treatment oils to treat the guitars wood top deck, sides and back and the neck wood ,that info would help from other larrivee owners, thankyou james another proud owner of a fabulous larrivee acoustic
Treat it with reverence.......
I use the body and fingerboard kit from Dunlop...seems to work well. Link below:
Cleaning Kit (http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/body-and-fingerboard-cleaning-kit)
I only use a clean cloth or a little warm water if needed. On the fingerboard, very fine steel wool if necessary. Don't believe in oil, goop or polish.
Is your guitar gloss or satin finish?
Mine is satin finish - I only treat the ebony on the fingerboard and bridge. Lizard Spit is the brand - pretty sure it's just lemon oil cut with some other chemical.

That's exactly what i do too. I always make sure I give it a good wipe down after playing to remove dirt and grime so things don't build up. Had my L-03RE for over 6 years now and it still looks great. :bgrin:
hi out there, thankyou for your wise input and i will put it to good use, thankyou again james
While I'm a bit aggressive when cleaning my fretboard (including the use of steel wool, a toothbrush and, on occasion, a razor blade, ) I almost never use anything on the body except a damp cloth. The secret is to wipe it down often. Rarely, I might use a drop of guitar polish.
Belt sander and carnauba wax.
I just the 3M polish cloth that came with my larrivee. I usually use guitar polish when I change my strings that way I get a good cleaning done.
