I'm talking about good looks here, not sonic value. Which guitars do you think are to die for visually? I'd say the Larrivee 10 series, for one, and for some reason, the OM shakes my tree a bit more than the L. Not sure why. Maybe the OM just looks a little sleeker, a bit more trim. Another heartbreaker is the Martin 42 series, particularly the 000 and the OM. The 42s, like the 10 series, have bling but it's done tastefully, in my view. And whose heart could fail to miss a beat when a slim-waisted and curvy J-185 heaves into view? Mm, mm! :whistling:
Two I can think of and I no longer have pic's of them and oddly enough both were OM's.An OM10koa that had a beautiful book matched back with nice flaming and a large whitish strip of sapwood down the back and an OM03/12 string with an amazing bearclaw top, just stunning.

:+1: I love all those you mentioned too - i prefer the L-10 to the OM though, but my Berg does it toootally for me - mostly because every aspect about it was my specific requirement.
Every time I see a Charis or one of Kevin Ryan's guitars, I go weak in my knees....
My favorite Larrivees were always the -19 series. These were a mix of -09 and -10 level ornamentation. Basically an -09 with -10 bridge and neck/headstock inlays.
I played a -19 Maple L body with eagle headstock and feather inlay fretmarkers once while in San Jose...
Yet another opportunity to show off my LV-19.
Couldn't decide which picture to post so you'll have to suffer looking at all 3.

I love the Larrivee all-mahogany 05-series in any model. Just the beautiful color of mahogany shining through the gloss.
Here's a pic of my OM-05MT

Oh man that's a beaut. I particularly love the blue purfling - David Ionone uses it with great effect in his Morgans too.
I think the Martin 000-GE amberburst guitars look amazing. Same thing with the 2012 Taylor 714 burst. Sorry ... I don't have any pics.
I'm a sucker for a spruce top...

I like where he did a self portrait on the faceplate inlay.

And the watch inlay on the back, creative stuff!

Museum pieces one day no doubt - all of his stuff. If I ever won a lottery, I'd have one. Anybody know what his prices are?

Not sure what that relates to. Also don't know much about watches but found this (http://www.europastar.com/news/1003188007-blancpain-equation-marchante-m-y-s.html) interesting.
Anyone else like these cutey-pies?

Maybe someone should design a guitar back that is concave to fit the average American belly.

Actually, Ovation itself brought out the new "contour-shaped" back in recent years. The company didn't exactly say this, but the contour back is well-suited for those of more, how shall we say, "generous" proportions.
I really love Koa and All Hog Guitars without bling :)
