Title: Neck specs on New RS-2
Post by: MillIsland on February 03, 2012, 07:11:05 PM
First post on this very informative board.  Trying to gather all the info I can on the neck specs - particularly the profile - on the current iteration of the RS-2.   I have '65 SG Jr. That has a really skinny neck - not my favorite but I can live with it - I'm hoping an RS-2 could complement it.  Thanks

I've never played one of the new ones; my RS-2 is the old model...but I suspect their necks are pretty much the same. I wouldn't call the RS-2's neck skinny, but it's not a baseball bat like a 50's profile Gibson. It's very comfortable, with a "C" shape...I'm not good at neck shapes, but that's how I'd describe it. Definitely not a Fender "V" or soft V. It has a 12" fretboard radius, I think.
