I just ran across a Larrivee Rising Fawn model on ebay and being a Norman Blake fan I'm a little curious about this guitar.
What can y'all tell me about it?
I sure hope someone here at the forum can prove me wrong, but I searched up the guitar on eBay and the blurry label along with the story smells like fish. Just sayin.
Edit. Even if it's legit, every guitar maker seems to have made a guitar for Norman, and I have seen a few rising fawn guitars already. I'm a huge fan, but he has some peculiar ideas about setup that's not for everyone. I would prefer a regular SD 60, in all black...
I can't seem to find the guitar you are referring to on Ebay. Is there a link someone could provide?
Its eBay item no. 220944757531 if you want to look it up.
I have no idea who Norman Blake is.... :? ...but then again I'm in UK so probably not known over here.
Regardless I'd never pay that kind of stupid uplift anyway on a guitar just because its got some player or other's name on it :rolleye:

Here's the direct ebay link. She's a beauty. I love Norman Blake, I love that guitar. Just a wee bit out of my price range.
Does indeed look like it was built for Norman himself by Jean himself using great wood.
Have at it.

I bought my first Larrivee from Gayl as well. I don't know if he's still a Larrivee dealer, but he's a real nice guy with some great Norman Blake stories.
I have to say that if it's a guitar Norman Blake owned and I had the money, I'd probably buy it.

Well indeed looks like this was built for Blake and he played it some. That parts easy.
