Do you all know of any good songbooks with traditional songs from England, Ireland, Scotland, America, etc.? I'm looking for some simple stuff for singalong times with my children and for playing with beginners. I've found a couple ideas online but thought I'd try here too. Thanks.
Always, the first book that comes to my mind is, Rise Up Singing. Great songs for kids from 3 up... and still relevant to me at 53. Worth every penny paid. Then there is, The Folksong Fakebook, Raffi (a kids song singer) has a couple books out, Pete Seeger has a few books out which are great.

One obvious book is the Ultimate Fake Book. You may have to shop around for a good price. Lots of songs from different genres.

Thanks for the other ideas so far, folks.
Thanks for the celtic book, I'll have to check it out.
A really good beginner folky type songbook is "Flatpicking guitar for the complete ignoramus" by Wayne Erbsen. The book has some really cool old traditional tunes, great tablature (he uses notes instead of fret numbers, which is a great learning tool) for easy guitar runs, and is funny to boot.
