I thought it would be fun to write the Larrivee factory and get the history of my beautiful OM-03. I just sent in the serial number and almost immediately got the information back:
" Your OM-03 is made from Sapele Mahogany back and sides - the neck is South American Mahogany. The soundboard is Sitka Spruce - the fretboard & bridge are African Ebony. The guitar was started on 8/21/2007, finished and shipped on 10/31/ (Halloween) 2007."
I purchased it new at Sam Ash in Westminster, California on Dec. 2007
It is the sweetest sounding instrument I have ever owned. I record with it, perform with it, cherish it.
