Title: WTB: L03-k guitar case = found one!
Post by: GUITARMANDAN on September 05, 2011, 10:07:51 AM
Just purchased a 2004 L03-K Koa model :nanadance and though I have not actually received it yet, it current resides in a generic guitar case and I would love to have a actual Larrivee case for it.
Anybody got one for sale or know where I can get one?

I also own a Taylor custom shop BTO 814 and love it. Always heard of Larrivee but never even played one. So I bought a really nice pre-owned model that belonged to a lady who only played it in the studio--period. So it's pretty nice. Guess I'll find out when it arrives next week.

I plan on using a ToneRite on it to help open it up some. Thoughts on this?

Glad to be part of the Larrivee family now! :wave

Duh, the lady who sold me the Larrivee does in fact have the Larrivee case the guitar came with new.

Ummmmm, you don't really like Larrivee guitars, do you? :humour: Wow, you own a bunch. This is my first and I'm hoping I'll like it too.
I use John Pearse strings model 600L or silver phosphorus bronze strings. I like light strings for ease of playing on my fingers. I did buy one pack of medium gauge and might try them too. :nana_guitar

What do you think of the ToneRite device? I've read a bit on them and everyone raves how much this device opens up the wood in the guitar to sound more aged etc. I guess it couldn't hurt, eh? Or not?

Thanks for the reply. We'll see how much this Koa model rivals my Taylor 814.

All of my Larrivees' are great instruments. Love every one of them. Have put a Tonerite on a few of them, and if there was a change, it was very subtle. Larrivee guitars improve the more you play them.
