Title: 1992 Martin HD-28
Post by: Celticjam on July 08, 2011, 06:19:40 PM
For Sale: 1992 Martin HD 28

Martin HD-28 that has been setup with a bone nut and fully compensated bone saddle. Recent re-fret of the top 5 frets by Hoffman Guitars (hoffmanguitars.com). Medium action, great all-a-rounder. Deep, resonant bass with crystal clear bell-like overtones in the high registers. Comes with the original hardshell case. It sounds like a great 19 year old Martin HD 28, beautiful and powerful.

I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10 in cosmetics with better than normal wear for an almost 20 year old guitar. No major dings or scratches. There was a small crack that was cleated between the bottom of the fretboard and the top of the sound hole (not below the sound hole and no effect on the sound board). The repair was done under warranty by Bashkin Guitars (bashkinguitars.com) in beautiful Ft. Collins, Colorado. I took a picture of the repaired area and there is no way you can see it (ditto in person). The only way to tell there was a repair is to feel under the fretboard and touch the cleat. I am the second owner of this guitar.

You can see pictures here:

At the moment the guitar is pure acoustic. I will include an L.R. Baggs Classic fully compensated bridge saddle pickup that you can install.

$1450 shipped to the lower 48.  Paypal is fine.

Thanks for looking,
Kevin

Remon,

Thanks for the offer but I don't feel comfortable shipping out of the lower 48.  Too much potential for a nightmare.  If you have a friend in the US, I would gladly ship to them.

Sorry,
Kevin

I can understand your concern.. I have let two Larrivée come from the US, and they arrived within a very resonable time. I still have to recieve them from the customs in The Netherlands. I just hope that that the shipping didn't do any harm..

I don't have a friend or a kind of relation in the US yet, but that would be great for me!
