Just played a wonderful Larrivee ten series uke at a local store and was blown away by the looks and sound. I had never seen one before and was wondering how many were made. Are these sought after?
Larrivee ukes are indeed awesome - from the low-end to the high-end ones.
I particularly like their signature tone - bright but with an underlying darkness. They tend to sound great strung either re-entrant or with a low G. Thy are my favorite soprano ukes.
Larrivee made mostly soparnos plus a very few concerts. They weere originally made for a customer in Japan and they made a few extras for the Canadian and US markets sometime aorung 1999/2000. Then they made a couple of other runs after that for the domestic market.
They are no longer made though.
I've got an all mahogany one that I got off of a forum member. Love it! Best uke I've ever played, if that means anything, since I haven't played that many high end ones. I gather they're not making any more and no longer even have the templates and such. At least, that's what we heard when we discussed the possibility of a "forum uke". If you can find one, I don't think it will disappoint.

I should really buy a uke, find a good book of tunes and learn those old standards.
Ukes be good for you.
