Can you be a bit more specific?  What part cracked?  The post, the button, or?

If it is an ebonoid button on a Larrivee tuner (actually Pings), yeah that is a problem.  It's why they now supply them with chrome buttons. Buttons for Schallers might fit OK (Stewart/Mac, or LMI for replacement buttons.)

I have the same problem with a cracked plastic button on the low-E. The only defect on a new guitar (OMV-09 probably built in 2006) purchased from Wildwood Music last month.
I have no complaint with Wildwood, the crack in a black plastic part is nearly invisible, but easy to feel when tuning.
I have not even tried to get a new part yet, just breaking the guitar in. So I have no problem with my dealer or Larrivee, just noting the same defect.
I wonder if Larrivee would replace all the buttons with metal.

Very interesting.  I also bought mine from Wildwood in Ohio and noticed a few days later that the peg was split.  I figured it had gotten knocked by someone looking at the guitar but now I wonder if it is a defect from the start.  I suggest you not remove it.  I removed it since the guitar is four years old and I figured if I didn't do something it would split all the way.  Unfortunately because of the split the inside that attaches to the stem is worn and it will not turn.  I wrote Larrivee about it..I'll let you know what happens.

Thank you, too bad sound click doesn't allow covers for free. I wrote those on there. I have some of my covers on bandango but it is very hard to access.
