Title: LV-03 RE string balance problem
Post by: helmstein on February 03, 2011, 06:06:16 PM
Hi, tonight i had the chance to play my new LV-03 RE over an acoustic amp for the first time, a Laney A1. The sound was very good, but i recognized that the low E string sounds louder than the other strings. Especially the difference between the low E- and A-string was very clear. So my question is, if this is a normal problem with the L.R. Baggs element onboard system or is there anything wrong? Can anybody help me?  :?

Thanks, J

It sounds like the saddle isn't seated right on the pu.In most case's the pu come's thru the bridge on the low E side,so the saddle is tight on that string.Bring it to your favorite tech and he/she should be able to solve the problem.

Hi,
i solved the problem by changing the saddle. There was a second saddle with the guitar and with this the transducer works perfect.
Since saturday i own a marshall as50d.
The right amp for my purposes, playing at home and perhaps in the future small events.

Hi everyone.

After almost 4 years of using paypal, with over 1,500 transactions, not a SINGLE complaint from anyone, I find my account has suddenly had limited access imposed upon it. Being required to fax in proof of my identity and address and a telephone call to them, they informed me my account had been linked to someone else's who had a five hundred pound negative balance with them.
After the phone call my account was suddenly re-activated and I began to use it again.
Five days later, when the balance had reached two-hundred and sixty pounds, I tried to transfer the money. Minutes later, the transfer had been returned and the account restricted again. Very devious behavior indeed.

This is what they have said.

"Mr. Kershaw, I have reviewed your account and your query and I would
like to inform you that in accordance to our User Agreement, PayPal
reserves the right to link accounts that share 3 or more pieces of
information, like address, financial details, surname, etc.

Please be advised that an account that you are linked to, may not
necessarily be your own one. That is why it is a good idea to inquiry
among your household members and friends as the link may be to for
example your brother or son. (There is no-one else in my house with a paypal or ebay account)

Unfortunately, before the issues on the linked account are resolved,
PayPal cannot lift the limitation on your account.

- Based on a review of your account and the information received, we
show that you have or are related to an account that has unresolved issues.
Before we can lift the limited access on your account, you will need to
resolve all outstanding issues with this linked account, including
bringing any negative balances to zero and resolving all complaints. The domain
name for this account is: ...@gmail.com"

So basically they are saying I have to pay the debts off of another account holder who has nothing whatsoever to do with me financially.

I have faxed in all documentation required each time they have asked, but have now realized, upon the third request within four days for a fax of my passport, driving licence, and ID card, that they have no intention of bringing this situation to an amicable conclusion.

I have contacted the FSA (Financial Services Authority) and have began the process to recover my funds, and have found paypal acting illegally by ignoring requests for information they are legally bound to give me under FSA Guidelines, like the name and the position of the person dealing with my complaint and exactly what are the connections that have been ?discovered' linking my account to a third parties.
The strangest thing of all is that last year they probably made at least treble this amount from me in charges. Not particularly good business practice from a financial or ethical point of view.

So has anyone else had this particular problem with paypal, and if so, what did you do about it, what was the outcome, or does anyone else have any information relative to this case, which may be of use as I pursue the legal avenue to reclaim the stolen funds?
