Has anyone else this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280582977974)?
Really cheap, seller is in AU, states that "Cash on Pickup or cleared funds deposit to bank account 24 hours prior to pickup preferred.", but offers Free Shipping and there is "More Than 10 Available". Seller also has 0 feedback. Very weird, but if it's just newb mistakes on the listing and someone gets that guitar for that price it seems like a very nice deal.
The only option acceptable to me in these circumstances would be serial no. provided in advance then CASH ON PICK-UP
1970`s guitar listed as brand new :?
AND he only has 10 of them :roll
the extremely low $ amount suggests something out of whack as well
unless local pickup in a very safe place I`d ignore
0 feedback.... and what seems too good to be true usually is.
It says he's had it since 1977, but it's listed as brand new.....and that there are 10 available...WTF
Why don't you try emailing him (or her) and asking what's up? The whole thing looks to me to be a brand new ebayer who checked all the wrong boxes.

I've already done that. I'm just waiting for a response. I hope the reply makes more sense than the auction listing.
Listed under Books: Other books? Trademark symbol for "handmade by Jean Larrivee"? Subline of of auction reads, "Suffer a deficit a processing"? Free shipping?
I might hit someone as fast as I would steer away from that!
I wonder who he stole the pictures from?
Yeh, it's a good thing most scammers are complete idiots.
When you ask him "what's up" get his Social Security number (or whatever they use in Australia). Tell him you'll send cash if he gives you a credit card number.
If he's that stupid he may think HE'S getting a deal.

The "10 available" thing looks like a mistake, his or the system's. Pickup seems reasonable. I doubt anyone would be falsely selling a guitar with some wear, a 30-year old one at that. Be different if he were selling it as a collectible, and asked a lot more for it. Doesn't look crooked to me.
I just looked,,, the listing is gone. :crying: I missed a great deal.
I reported it yesterday. Too many inconsistencies. Sure, may have been a well intentioned first timer with a lot of mistakes. But, free international shipping? Even if he was well intentioned, he would have lost his fanny just in the shipping alone.
More than likely a scam. But, if not, he should be thanking me for reporting the auction and having it ended.
Lots and lots of overseas scammers -Can't track em down.
