Title: New FIV recording
Post by: Denis on October 24, 2010, 08:48:28 AM
Amazing, I still have the original strings on there so there several months old now but I really love the tone of this guitar.  It feels great to play it and it never disappoints.

I'd mentioned in another thread that I was recording for a music library in California that find music for TV programs.  This is one I came up with yesterday.  Recorded with Garageband and the Audio Technica AT2035 through a Shure x2U signal adapter.  Have to do all my takes in between the furnace cycling on and off!  It's getting cold up here in Canada.

Denis you are mellowing in your old age :humour:  Really, it is very relaxing playing and I appreciate you making it available to us.
I have some decent speakers for my laptop now, so it really sounds so much better than listening through the built in tiny ones.
       Keep them coming :thumbsup

Nice tune Denis and thanks for sharing.  And if I remember from my grammar school Francais your playing is "tant mieux".    Good job!

Thanks everyone.  This tune is now the most listened of my catalog at Reverbnation.  Top that off with hitting 200 000 video views on Youtube, that happened just today...very cool.  Now if only one of those music libraries would send me a contract for my first placement...

Denis, nice song. Have to agree with Dan, a little sedate & relaxing. The F-IV sounds great, as does mine. Have to sign-up for the music site. Will be coming into some inherited money soon, so some simple recording tools are going to be bought. Promised my wife no more guitars, but if it works both ways, might change her mind?
I don't even use my big stereo any longer. I have a 3-piece satelite set of Harmon/Kardon speakers, the sub just making it sound fantastic. Want to keep it down, use my Grado SR-60 headphones that I've had for years. If anyone has a chance to check these out, do it! Around $70, THICK cord, don't distort, simply amazing. Listened to your song with them, hearing much I didn't with the PC speakers (of course!).
When it time to do a little shopping for recording stuff, I'll PM you, Denis, if you don't mind. Have always loved the sound you get when you record, as I've told you many times. Then I can post some backwards played blues for the first time! The response? Will be a first for me, so anything other than terrible would be great!
Again, some nice mellow tones. Think it's nap time! :humour:

Yeah, I know the new stuff is a bit mellow, but then, I'm a mellow guy.

I too have a few $ coming in from an inheritance soon....I am considering another guitar however...BT-03!
