Title: Non- toxic finish used by Larrivee?
Post by: Bobmoon10 on July 28, 2010, 04:05:43 AM
Hi all,
I heard Jean Larrivee say on one of his factory tour videos, that they now use a non- toxic
finish coat on all guitars !
Does anybody know what type of finish this? I mean, is it a polyester or polyurethane?
Any ideas folks?

Cheers

Please excuse the grammar!
That should be---Does anybody know what type of finish this is?

Reason for asking is, I always thought polyester fumes were quite toxic!
Then again, I`m not really an expert on this subject!  Maybe there`s a new enviromentally-friendly product
I don`t know of!

Just got an email from Mike Kitchen at Larrivee!
He said they use a custom made urethane as their finish on all guitars! (non-toxic)
