All of those that have one or have played them know who wants them. Everyone that didn't buy one! I'm still looking for an all HOG F-II or F-III, being blown away by my OO-03MT. An all HOG F-III is my real choice to add to my IS/HOG F-III.
These guitars are special, compare to or sound better than many costing 3x as much, & are a dream to play!
Everyone was (maybe not everyone) saying how they wish they got in on this one. I don't know the seller, but mine is one awesome guitar, as are all. Only 29 numbered ones made, making it an instant collectors piece. Sorry to see that appleknocker needs to sell his.
If you've noticed, the posts on the thread for these have dwindled, probably due to all playing theirs & wiping the drool off after!!! The price is right & good luck with your impending sale.  :thumbsup
Here's my #23/29, just to get an idea of what they look like. Higher series headstock (Larrivee MOP inlay, silver border) & a back strip on the inside. The strip, if I'm not mistaken, is only on the Forum OO's? Some spruce topped ones out there, but not as sweet as these. Might get a PM from a MOD for this post, but just can't help singing the praises of these gits!!

My 00-03 SE does NOT have a back strip. For what it's worth... Best I can tell ALL the 00's are great! Someone should buy this one quick!

Chris, sorry. Didn't mean to imply the spruce topped ones weren't sweet also? I'm just amazed with my F-IV, that's all. Can't find one like yours to play & hear how nice it sounds. Think the back strip just to help stiffen the HOG body & for structural integrity? Think you know more about this than me?
Someone please buy this? I might end up with 2!! :nana_guitar

Sorry, I think I was misunderstood. I think the backstrip is a nice addition. Not a criticism! And I think the reports indicate they all are notably good. :nana_guitar

These are so sweet sounding.  If you play fingerstyle at all, they are very rewarding.  I let my nails grow but not very long.  I play with a combination of skin and nail and digging in, even just a bit, really moves it, all over.  It's a great sound to my ear.  And it looks cool!  Love all that mahogany!

Good luck with your sale appleknocker.  I'm sure you're going to make someone really happy!   :nana_guitar

Gosh I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. I was looking for one of these until I settled on a P-03 (which I'm very happy with). Maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy this one too.

We all thought it would go faster!  Dang it!

Did you put it up on the AGF???  Thanks to that dude at LA Guitar Sales and his custom 00 Larrivees, someone will surely want to buy it.  We have nearly 9000 members here and there are nearly 47000 on the AGF.  Just sayin'...

I remember when Matthew Larrivee referred to the F-IV's as "cannons."    I scoffed.  A 00 cannon?   Puhleeease!

I played an F-IV this weekend, and it is an amazing box.    I'm embarrassed to admit that it is louder than my OM-03MT.    It's a cannon!   (And it's much more comfortable, to boot.)

Okay, Gitnoob, you know you want Appleknocker's Forum-IV!

What are you waiting for?  (I'm looking forward to getting my F-IV back tomorrow, but will have trouble returning your 0-50.   :crying:)

Holy Crap!     I would totally get this guitar!  I've got a Stanford (Furch built) guitar (12 fret dred slot head) that I need to move first, and for the money could get from that, I could buy this one.......but guitars just aren't moving right now, and I've been sitting on that one for a while now.  Ugh!  :crying:

It feels like carma just isn't lining up on this one for me.

Good luck......that is one beautiful guitar

I wonder if a Forum member ended up snagging this guitar, does anyone here know?

Congrats to the new owner! Enjoy it - the 29 owners are raving about this little guitar with an amazing tone & volume.

I am the happy new owner.  It only arrived earlier this afternoon so I'm just getting acquainted, but so far I am extremely pleased!  Very pleasant buying from Appleknocker.  One day delivery!  Only had to come across the top of Arkansas, but I still wasn't expecting it for another day or two.

It always takes me a couple weeks to be sure if I'm going to take to a guitar.  I've owned quite a few guitars over the years and many have been 00 or grand concert size, so I have some idea what I'm getting into.  After a little playing I'll post my impressions.  I also have a Santa Cruz hog top 00.  The plan is to keep one and send the other with my daughter.  Report to follow.

congrats norton. looking forward to your impressions about #15. i must confess i tried getting to this, but you beat me to it.

danny, you may have answered this in another thread or your previous post(s), but how does the FIV compare with FIII specifically,

does the FIV take moderate to aggressive strumming well? When I had my OO-09, I did hear a bit of the "boxy" parlor sound, Jeff (bluesman1) tells me
to forget the parlor sound when it comes to the FIV.

how does it compare with your OO-09FM esp strumming?

I rarely use a pick anymore. But I was playing some spiritual songs with a fairly large group recently and I took the lead on a song that I considered should be played aggressively and lively. I was surprised at it. It's not as good at strumming as my F-III but it held up very well.
I prefer it for the "sweet" mellow tones it produces in small living rooms and out on the porch. But I would use it to lead singing in a small group. My playing is 90% finger style now though. But I have other guitars that do great at strumming. People keep dropping them off for me to take care of for a while. I have three dread sized ones like that and now a Gibson J-25.

Truth is though even my F-III and the OM-21 are not seeing much play time now. I just like the sound from this little F-IV too much.
