I have been working on this and wondered who might have available or sell a copy of the sheet music that would be faithful to the Doc Watson original.
Thanks and best wishes.
Not sure what you're looking for. Are you looking for a recording or tab or musical notation?
My apologies ducktraper, I am llking for the sheet music for DRB. I found a version but it is not faithful to Doc Watson's which is what I was looking forf.
I modified my original post.
Thanks for your reply.
Have you seen this one: http://www.docsguitar.com/learningvideodetail.php?qSelection=1
It's Doc playing with the guys, and a tab is included.
I really love this tune and have a couple of versions of music for it...One of which I think is very close to Doc's version...and there for very difficult to master. I would be happy to email you a copy. Drop me a PM with your address.

I have a simple arrangement of this, based on Doc' style, on my website. You might find it useful.

frankchond; thanks for ther DVD, I've a question for you, does the DVD also include the written music? That is what I am really looking for.
Blue; best wishes to you, I sent you a pm. Thanks much.
Will Fly; I really like your music and play some off your web site. You do a greata job. I would really like a version closer to Doc's in this case.
Thanks and best wishes to all.
Blue in VT, checking to see if you received my pm.
Best wishes
My guitar teacher has two versions of tabs for this song on his website - click below on the "Music" tab on the webpage and then click on beginner/intermediate button.

I think my teacher is very much the real deal, he probably jammed with the good Doc back in the day. Let me know if this is close to what you feel is the real Doc Watson.
How fortunate to have Jack BAker as a teacher, thanks for the informatin, I will take a look.
Best wishes.

Yes, I feel very fortunate. He seems to be pretty amazing arranger as well as player. Hope his versions are helpful to you.
Great links in this topic. Congrats to both Will and Jack.
Thanks for that link, I didn't know about Izzy Youngs Folklore center here in Stockholm, it's just around the corner!
