Title: OM-35
Post by: teh on February 08, 2010, 10:27:39 PM
If it's still there, you can see some great eye candy at The 12th Fret. A new OM-35 Martin discovered in the basement and carrying a new lifetime warranty. Anyone from the Toronto area passing through the neighborhood should give it a look and report back. I love mine.

When shopping for the new guitar a couple of years back that eventually became a new Lv05e, I ran across one of these used that I believe I could've had for about the same price.  It was a beautiful sounding, feeling, looking instrument.  My main goal at the time was great tone in a more "comfortable" size than my D35S.  I also wanted to get something that had a little different tone than I was used to with the Martin.

To this day I have never regretted my purchase of the LV. In fact if desperation of some sort required me to "divest," the LV would be the one I flat out couldn't part with among my guitars.  But were I a better "funded" picker, I'd be thrilled to own an OM-35.   The used one I played was about the 3rd or 4th sweetest guitar I've ever handled

Just went to their web-site... it sold last Friday (2/5/10). It is nice to drool on though.

When my wife was shopping for my b-day guitar, it came down to an OM-35 and the Larrivee L she bought me. I would have been happy with either. (I really think the L-09 was the better choice for me, being more a strummer.)

Wow, I can't believe I missed that! The OM-35 is one guitar I always regretted selling.
