***GUITAR IS SOLD***
I purchased this brand new from an authorized dealer a little over a year ago, and when I did, I A/B'ed it against the next model up (the Marieta spruce) and there was no comparison. It was an easy choice to save myself a substantial amount of cash and take the Clarita.
Spruce top (probably some kind of Euro Spruce) East Indian RW back and sides with excellent color and figuring, ebony fingerboard, 52 mm nut, 650 scale and rosewood bridge. This one also comes with two nuts, the original and one I had cut with near the widest string spacing possible. The existing nut is not glued in, so switching out doesn't require breaking the glue's hold.
There is one minor thing to note, and I've had it checked out both by Elderly's (4 of their techs looked at it including Arnold, the classical specialist) and Herb David's where I purchased it. There's a prominent grain line that extends on both sides of the bridge. It dissapears when the humidity levels get above 50% or so, but as I've been told, these guitars are built where it's more arid and that may not be the most healthy for the guitar.
So it's been determined this is purely cosmetic, and absolutely nothing to worry about. (I'll attach pics so you can see what I'm talking about)
Other than that, there's one minor (1mm) bump on the binding on the lower bass bout...not very obvious at all. The guitar and case are very close to perfect otherwise.
The case is a Humicase Metro that is a 190.00 upgrade.....very lightweight and has two built in humidification devices.
This is a great sounding classical that you'd have to spend at least 2-3 times as much to get anything better. Here's a couple of recordings I've done with it recently....the first is done with a custom cut capo (at 2) to sound in double drop D....

This one is capoed partial at 2 as well to sound in drop D....

Both recordings are straight into my Tascam DP-01FX with just a little reverb.
I've just cleaned and conditioned the fingerboard, polished the frets, and installed a fresh set of Daddario Proarte normal tension (an extra set will be included as well as a Shubb classical capo) I would strongly reccomend keeping the normal tension strings on this one, it's built very lightly.

The rosewood on this is extremely pretty....very dark with some interesting red-laden grain on the perimeter

Here are a couple more pics that wouldn't fit into the first post. BTW, the ONLY reason I'm selling this is that I re-acquired my Webber Walnut custom and I told myself if I ended up keeping it, this had to go down the road. In a perfect world, I keep them all, of course :bgrin:
