Title: Harmonizer Pedal ? your thoughts
Post by: Symtex on December 03, 2009, 11:25:15 AM
So what your thoughts on harmonizer pedals ? I tried an harmony-G yesterday and I kind like it. I know some musician might see it has cheating in some way. It makes it easy for me to record myself and add harmony quickly without going to the complexity of certain VST plugins.

I like them. I just see them as another tool. I use a looper a lot for solo stuff and would love to add the harmonizer to the live rig. I can't always get my kids to show up to the gigs and sing when they come!

I have a friend that has one and sometimes it does ok, and sometimes it puts out parts that sound just awful to me.

I have a DigiTech Vocalist Live 4 and love it.  I did need to adjust my style a bit to get the most out of it (more strumming less fingerpicking).  It is not nearly as much fun as three or four good vocalists, but it is a LOT easier to get to the gig.
