This guitar is very, very hard for me to sell. I was originally looking for an HD-28 when I bought this, but after playing this D-35 I had to have it- the sound is just so open and balanced. It has the classic Martin sound and records exceptionally well- it sounds good even on cheap mics. These D-35's have plenty of volume, and this particular one has a prescence I've experienced in very few dreadnaughts, let alone D-35's.
It's a great looking guitar too- the rosewood sides are extremely pretty and well figured, the top has nice spacing on the grain and a few little bearclaw spots. This being a 1993 it has a single piece all mahagony nech and headstock, unlike the current models that have a 3 piece headstock. It does have a truss rod as well.
If money weren't an issue I'd keep it, but it is for me right now, so I've got to let it go.
The guitar has a bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge pins with abalone inserts, and an LR Baggs I-Beam installed as well. Included is the Geib style Martin case. There are a few little finish issues, I've tried to highlight them in the images- the camera makes them look worse than they are.
Looking for $1400

Well I can say 1993 was a very good year for Martin from my experience. My OM-21 was made then. And your price is a steal. Just too big a body for me. But someone will get a deal.
From looking at that beauty, 1993 was a VERY GOOD YEAR...I know you hate to part with it.
Good luck on your sale.
:nice guitar:
Very nice top. If I hadn't purchased my HD-28.. I'd totally go for it.
Good luck with the sale!
If I hand any money at all in the guitar fund, this would be mine. I don't think I'd be a hit if I only put that under the christmas tree and nothing for anyone else :arrow
:nice guitar: and good luck with the sale.
