I have not been able to search more than one word at a time. I also have to change some settings but it has been very valuable even in that state to finding past threads.

Try changing the setting for "Search Where" to "Search in category: Any Category" and change the date range to "any date." Then search on one word only. That's how I have been able to get it to work.

Thanks Don, I tried that and still get,

"Sorry, an error occured. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was: "

I must be doing it wrong...  :(

The search is definitely not working right, and I can't figure out why.  However, I'm about 95% done on the new forum, and I'm testing it now.  I can promise the search will work on it.

It will be nice to have a working search feature. There are a number of things I really like about this setup but the difficulties in using search and the inability to use many of the code buttons aren't among them

Zach, as a suggestion, you might want to think about setting up separate sections for customization, namely such things as buffing out your -03s, changing tuners, picguards, etc., and plugging in, where posts can be directed discussing mikes, pickups, amps, recording, etc.

Just a thought to make things easier to find.

Perhaps an FAQ section with pinned, locked copies of the threads that originally gave info on how to do each of those things - kind of a "RTFM  ;) - Look here first" section for those oft-repeated, useful tidbits of Larrivee folklore, minutiae, customization etc. info  - just my 2 cents

Pardon my ignorance but what does RTFM mean? Never come across that one before.

Lets see ... R -- Read?

T ........... This?

F .......... First?

And M? M would mean .......... OH! Neeevvvvvver mind.

Thanks to Zach for passing along the acronym. For those similarly situated, it means "Read the, ..... uhmmm, ...... Manual." Yeah, that's it! Read the manual!    :P
