NO LONGER FOR SALE. We spent a little time together tonight and yes it was painful but at this time I just can't let this guitar go. I don't know what is going to happen in the future with my condition and although I can't play alot, I want this guitar there when I can. I hope you all will forgive me. It was not my intention to lead anybody on. I guess the realization that I could lose this guitar forced me to take stock of what I have. I hope you all understand.

Hey all. I'm selling my very special 2009 Webber Roundbody. Back, sides and headplate are Claro Walnut while the top is what David calls chocolate cedar. Yes folks that is the natural color of the cedar, no stain has been applied. The fretboard and body are bound in cocobolo and the "W", end wedge, heel cap and purfling are cocobolo as well. Extras (besides the beautiful Claro) include a K&K mini (installed by David) and satin gold Gotoh 510 Delta's with real walnut tuning buttons (original tuners included). It has a 1 3/4" nut and a 2 3/16" string spacing along with all the standard Webber http://www.webberguitars.com/index.html (http://www.webberguitars.com/index.html) specs. I would describe the voice of this guitar as vibrant and would say it sounds very crisp and articulate. It shines as a fingerstyle instrument, will take medium strumming and is best at home in standard and drop D tuning. It doesn't work for me as a DADGAD type instrument. Sounds like a beautiful instrument doesn't it? So why would I want to part with it? Well, I don't, but the arthritis in my left hand and left elbow is getting much worse and I have chronic tendinitis in the left arm as well. Truth is I can't play through the pain anymore and I can't justify holding on to the guitar during these tough times. That's my story. The happy ending for someone is a very unique, wonderfully playing and sounding Webber. With all the extras I'm still only asking $1850 plus $50.00 shipping to the lower 48 states. I will refund anything over the actual cost of the shipping. I must note that there is one small ding on the top (approx 1/16th) that was on the guitar when I received it. Other than that the guitar is factory fresh and comes with the original case. Of course the guitar has been properly humidified and has never been out of my smoke free house. Paypal accepted but we'll have to split the fees. Here is a link to a short soundclip:

DW,
Why do you say it doesnt work for DADGAD? Is that choc. cedar too resonant (like reverb)? I havent played a Webber, but cedar/walnut has the reputation as THE altered tuning choice for woods.
And that claro is stupendous! Wish I was in the market.
No longer for sale. Please see original post for an explanation.

Dale--
Even at short sessions of play this beautiful Webber of yours has got to give you some serious spiritual and mental elation. I tried a Webber once so I what you've got there. I hope your pain and discomfort subsides.

My Webber roundbody lives in DADGAD or CGDGAD, i really have no idea what it sounds like in standard ;-)

Hey Naboz,
I, like Dermot have a Webber cedar/rosewood that lives in DADGAD. There is a depth and warmness that I love that the claro combination just can't match. That's why I qualified my statement by saying for me it doesn't work in DADGAD. But on the other hand, the claro just is so sweet sounding in standard tuning. Most of my fingerstyle playing is Travis style in standard while it's more of an arpeggio style in DADGAD. Perhaps that accounts for the difference, again, for me.
