Larrivée OOO-50 Total Sunburst for sale. I am the original owner. It is extremely clean, however I have spent many hours playing it so it has really opened up nicely. Staff at the Podium had not seen one this detailed and clean, the tone is well balanced from bass through the shimmering highs. It has a beautiful voice with the timbre, fundamentals and overtones associated with fine mahogany guitars. Stellar strummer and fingerstyle player. Stunning actually. Unique for Larrivée in that the neck and headstock are gloss finish. This guitar will hold its own against any quality guitar out there, vintage or other wise. Current retail $4563.00. $2100.00 plus shipping
The dealer I purchased it from stated that the instrument was built for a show and the tone woods are top-notch even for Larrivée. Jean Larrivée, of course, paints each sunburst.

Where are you located? Can you please post photos?
I'm in MN. I'll post pics later.

I'll be very interested to see how much this sells for. Good luck all. Great and really, really beautiful guitar!

I'd love to see that beauty too.
Good luck with your sale.
:thumbsup
I'm slow tonight. Are you selling the guitar yourself or are you consigning it at the podium, wherever that is?
Is the $4500 price the asking price? If not, what is your price?
Couldn't find it in 000's/000 non-cutaway or used.

I couldn't find it at The Podium either. Do they sell used guitars at full retail? How many of you out there buy guitars at full retail?
:cop:
The Podium listing was incorrect, it has a bone nut and saddle and has a gloss finish neck.

KC--how can we get a look at this beauty?
:gotpics:

I got there...that 50 is a beauty! Good luck with your sale.
:nice guitar:
That 000-50 is a real beauty. I wonder why the Podium has audio samples for only some of the instruments on their website. Does anyone have any idea why that is?
DAVE
They get to them when they can, but almost always get them all.
Really a beauty, and sounds great -
Just to make temptation a bit easier -

just a note
The typical ooo size guitars I've considered have a lower bout around 15 inches and a depth of 4 inches
The Larrivee OOO is larger and thicker than average in my experience.
Here are the specs from the podium
Specifications:
Lower Bout: 15.375"
Upper Bout: 11.125"
Waist: 9.375"
Depth: 4.5"
You many prefer this larger size - just wanted to mention it - because I know some guys here have shoulder pain problems
( including myself ) that can be aggravated by a thicker guitar.
I had to take the Larrivee OOO models off my list because a max depth of 4 inches works best for me
and I prefer to keep the lower bout 15 inch or less.
BTW, The Podium is a great place to do business - I bought my former Huss & Dalton OO-SP from them :thumb

I've had shoulder issues in the past with my Martin D35. I sold it and went with the Larrivee 000-50 and no shoulder problems. The 000-50 is a superb guitar! Compared to the Martin I find it very "couchable" and IMHO as loud and with much more articulation. :nice guitar:

This is an exceptional OOO-50. Played it today.
Have a '93 L-10 Custom with female genie inlay (no longer made) that I'm getting ready to put up for sale for $2400 (OBO) due to the rarity of the guitar as a whole. If it sells soon, would be interested. I live in CT. Good luck & wish me the same!

I'm not exactly sure...
The podium, that's Minneapolis, no? I will fly there in two weeks, if the guitar is still there, I will take a look. These guitars dont normally make it to Sweden where I live.

Thanks for the interest Ed.
frankhond, you will love this guitar. Tossed things around in my head, would have to cancel my F-IV for money for this one, almost did. This guitar is not only a beauty, but stands up to just about every boutique guitar it was compared to (per Zork & the Podium). You won't leave the store w/o it! :nice guitar:

Yeah, I'm right here in Mpls now, but I'm swamped at the moment. Will have some free days in about a week, then I'll check some guitars out. Frankly, this one seems a bit out of my league economically right now, wife wants a new sofa.
Again, bump for buying Rob's Paisley tele.
I am having fantasies of a big brother for my 00-50 TSB....
"I am having fantasies of a big brother for my 00-50 TSB...."
Yes and in that fantasy I accept PayPal, personal checks and USPS money orders and ALL instruments are tidily packed and shipped by caring elves in brown or blue suits!
KC
Would love to see some pictures. Maybe you saved the ones the Podium had up..
The pics are posted and the images are of the actual 000-50 that were taken 5/18/10.
Thanks!
KC
Just a review hit!
Any new interest?
To the top...
New price...
Played it again...Mmmmm.
Have another look....I think it may be gone soon.

K, if I didn't have to give up my F-IV slot, this would be mine now! Anyone, after talking with K & hearing about the sound compared to MANY higher priced guitars, this held it's own or was better. Frank @ the Podium raved about it also, as I mentioned in a previous post.
Someone, please buy this beautiful guitar so I don't have regrets about it?? :thumbsup
Don't understand how it's still here @ this price. An amazing guitar! :nice guitar:
