Be patient with a response - they will answer but it can take a while

I just recently entered the world of small body steel strings - got an OO size- different brand
Larrivee no longer has their OO model in production.

The OO is great for playing 'in the parlour'  :thumb

Welcome Leemo, to the friendliest of forums.  Where abouts in the UK are you?  The UK Larrivee owners club seems to be growing fast!!!

Hi Leemo, welcome to the forum, what is the serial number of your guitar? If you`ve bought it in the UK the best thing to do is contact the distributor, Sound Technology, www.soundtech.co.uk. They are responsible for all things Larrivee in the UK, ask for Chris Andrews, he`s the guitar tech and will advise you about the pickguard. Cheers, Pete

Actually Scott, you can get them here right now too...Dave at Guitar Adoptions has them and so does Jim at Trinity.  Unfortunately for you, I don't think they are in Australia...  Sorry...I want one too!!!

Hi,
I have one of the Koa Special Edition version of these and went the same route with Bob Colossi supplied bone bridge and pins.  I also wanted to replace the transparent pick guard with a tortoise shell one.  I purchased one of the very nice Greven Tortis pickguards from a USA on-line shop and had my luthier slightly reshape it to fit.  Also Larrivee provided advice on how to remove the old one.
I noticed that the Larrivee on-line shop now sells OEM pickguards for the P-09 parlours (for right and left hand models).  These should be a close fit or only require a bit of a mod.
Hope this helps if you are still looking for a solution.

These Larrivee parlours are nice guitars, aren't they :bgrin:
