I know I'll kick myself if this one leaves, but I am once again running out of room in the closet, so one of the older ones has to go. This is about as pristine of an example of the rare discontinued 000-17S Martin as you will find. All solid Mahogany top, sides, and back, slot head 12 fret slope body design. I would conservatively rate it at a 9.8 condition. Comes with upgraded Geib style case (5 series Martin case) in new condition also. 1550.00 shipped conn US. Email works best: jimnbon@comcast.net :thumbsup SOLD on another forum. Thanks.

how do you find the micarta fretboard? Does it feel or sound any different than ebony?
I don't have any issues with the Micarta fretboard on mine at all.. Never give it a thought.

That's a good question with a funny story attached. Actually when I got the guitar, I assumed it was ebony. It looked like ebony, felt like ebony so I cleaned it and oiled it. The oil didn't sink in of course, and started running down all over everything. Must have been a couple of days before I got it all off. Silly me :roll
Here's a pic where you can see the oil reflecting off the fret board....

Thanks Jeff, and the best part is, I don't have to ship it. The buyer is coming to my house in a couple of weeks to pick it up. :thumb
