Listed as Maddy RW B&S with cedar top. Truth or Fiction?? Looks like EI rosewood to me. Love the 19 style headstock design.

If it is Indian RW then it is a chocolate color and nice grain. I guess it could be madrose.
I didn't know Larrivée even used madrose back then. If it is, it doesn't look like the kind he's using now. Perhaps it's one of the other species indigenous to Madagascar.

The top looks like aged sitka to me, and I really don't think it's madagascar. It would be interesting to get the serial number and find out.
I agree with Dale, looks like spruce to me. From the picture it even looks like bearclaw, aged. :+1:
Winning bid for the OM-10 was $1149.00   :crying:
That's EIR and sitka...I agree with the others that identified it as such. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck....it's probably not cedar
Hmmm - there was a winning bid on the one you linked to, but here the same seller is offering the same guitar again, for 500 more bucks:

hmm..even if he had the same guitar for sale..using identical pictures feels kinda wrong to me . Don't we all care a little about the wood grain on the guitars we purchase?
I noticed it has the same serial number- so its the same guitar.
The winning bidder may have backed out? Hard to say, thats just a guess.

( I was following this one with interest - I have my LS-10 with the same inlays for sale right now on this Forum )
