Here's a couple of pics of my OM-03R in contrast to the L-10 pics I posted previously. They may be the lowest priced but they are still quietly elegant in my opinion. No bling, just good materials put together well.

best value :+1:
...was just thinking...
If you buy a new 03 model for say... $1,000
and you change strings once a month with strings that cost you $10
then you will spend $120 a year on strings.
After 9 years you will have spent more on strings than on your guitar.
Maybe there is a new marking idea for Larrivee-
give away the 03 guitar free of charge if you sign a contract to buy Larrivee strings for it the rest of your life !
Its like the old shaving razor giveaway - they would give you a free razor - knowing that they would make money selling you replacement blades.

lw, I like that idea...get Larrivee guitars free but pay for Larrivee strings for life.
Of course then Larrivee would have to alter their guitar design so that other brands of strings, such as Gillette or Schick, wouldn't work on your guitar :winkin:
Nice guitar, understated elegance, not humble.
:humour:
I think you flipped the image.
or maybe you should buy RH guitars and flip the images.
I like humble...
Haha, never heard a righty crack a "you shoulda learned the right way" joke
/sarcasm and :humour:
tuffy, that is a very pretty guitar. what kind of pickup is that by the way (magnetic soundhole looks like)... how does it sound?
Always liked the feel of satin-finish guitars, too. dunno why, but it just says "play me"

The pickup is a LR Baggs M1 passive soundhold pickup. It works two ways. Like a regular elec. pickup with adjustable pole pieces and also it picks up the sound of the soundboard. I use it with the LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI box to shape the sound as I wish. Usually run through a Fender Blues Deluxe Tube amp or a Crate Power block and 12" speaker cab. It would probably sound better through an acoustic amp but I'm just using what I have for now. As far as the sound goes.....I like the sound I get from it and other people tell me it sounds great as well.

I've been playing my OM-03R(e) so much, I've needed to put strings on it every two weeks or so. It just sounds so damn good I can't take my hands off of it.
I love the M1, by the way. Great pickup.
Congratulations GoTM

Thanks Ponte..........I've admired your guitar photos previously: they gave me something to aim for.
Nice photos, nice guitar.
Too bad that Larrivee built it backwards, tho.....
