Title: WTB: Larrivee L-09 or L-09E
Post by: PT1975 on April 15, 2008, 01:24:51 AM
I have an unblemished record on the AGF and have dealt with lalowdwn1 as well so I'm sure he can vouch for me. I'm a Youth Pastor and lead P&W and am looking for my first Larrivee to compliment my Rick Turner RS-6 for stage use. I'd prefer the L-09E but would consider a L-09 as well.

I've owned numerous high end Martins, Taylors, Gibsons and even a SC OM\PW (the only one I really loved out of the bunch) but have been told by a great friend that the missing link is the Larrivee L-09 so I'm willing to try one out. Out of all of those fine guitars, I've never found that right one....I've had Jumbo's, 414ce's, 815c, 214's, HD-28's, HD-35's, J100Xtra's, you name it. I've heard the L-09's are smaller and comfortable but still big enough..if that makes sense.

I want a smaller bodied, comfortable to play, well balanced with good bass presence, easy to fret, guitar that will handle moderate to occasional heavy strumming. I know, that seems like a tall order!

I rarely play hard..VERY RARELY but I do need something that will handle strumming during P&W and at home. I DO NOT play fingerstyle (wish I could) am only strum so I've heard this guitar can do it all..

My budget is $900-$1150 or so...If you have one for sale I would be VERY interested. Excellent condition and pics would be nice. :)

I value my character and integrity and can provide references from the AGF as well as from lalowdwn1.

I thank you for your consideration.

Pastor Tony,

Dont know if you still looking, but I have had my L09E for sale on this board for awhile.  Just found your post today.  It has the LRBagg iBeam active pickup system.  I posted a few pictures. My asking prices is $1200.

I would have thought 1150 was a little short of what an L-09 would go for...  Good luck in your search though.  I'd kind of like to be wrong.  But then again, I'll likely never see a used lefty L-09/10/etc. for that price anyway...  that's probably what made me skeptical that you'd find a deal in your pricerange: the lefty upcharge

actually I bought a Larrivee OM-05e with the B-Band A5 setup in it a few months ago as I couldn't find a nice used L-09e and the OM-05 is amazing! Such balance and definition in the notes, yet it can handle moderate strumming very well. Plugged in it is simply awesome, as it is during recording.

I would like a bit bigger body and have found that my OM-05E is comparable price wise to some used L-09's or L-09e's that I've seen ...guess I'll have to see. I know that Elderly had a used L-09 in near mint selling for $1300.00.

Either way I still have a great guitar but I bet the whole lefty thing is terribly frustrating...good luck with your search as well my friend!  :wave

Yeah, it can be a dog...  but there are some good vendors out there that take our disposition into account.  All of the big names here have offered to bend over backwards in special ordering a particular model... it just sucks that our used market is so small.
