Here are some pictures of my new Larrivee OM 50 TSB. I bought her about 2 weeks ago to gig in a folk club in UK, busk and just groove. I wanted a guitar that I could strum, fingerpick and plectrum...even though I often miss the string I'm after!! (how do you hit the right string every time??) It seems to be a great all-round guitar, and the tone is S W E E T !!! :nana_guitar
I swapped a Larivee Parlour satin and a Brook Lyn (UK) plus some money for it, and I am well pleased.
Anybody got any comments about the OM 50's??
I hope it makes GOTM! :donut :donut :donut
X Chris :smile

Looking fwd to seeing your git. I had the chance to play a fellow forum members OMV-50 the other day and I really liked it...Sweet tone and some good midrange punch...perfect for fingerpickin!

Even without viewing your own guitar I can say with some confidence that ΟΜ50 TSB = GOTM for Sure imo :thumbsup
The prettiest guitar on the Larrivee lineup if you ask me
:welcome: & :gotpics: :gotpics: :gotpics:

Nope; aint happening...
here you go.
oh wait. no, that's Q's OM-50TSB.
OK, here is what I did...
this is the code:
[im g]ht tp://http: //i152. photobucket. com/albums /s186/bsur2000/OM-50TSB /DSCN0135. jp g[/im g]
(with some spaces added so that it would print out here instead of displaying another image)
and here is what i scraped off from photobucket:
i152.photobucket.com /albums /s186/bsur2000/OM-50TSB/DSCN0135.jpg
so, click on the "insert image" icon and substitute your code for mine. (and remove any spaces)
the web software will insert the [im g]ht tp:// and[/im g]
That is not my guitar or picture!!
relax, kiwistopher. It's OK.
it took me 2 minutes to get my earlier post right.

Hi y'all.
You may be iterested in how I got this guitar...
The Larrivee rep came into my local guitar shop(in Dursley, Gloucestershire, UK) with this guitar, that he had had made to his own specs. He said that he had not intended to sell it, but the guys in the shop were so gobsmacked by its tone, that they wanted to buy it for stock!! So they did, and I came into the store and fell for her!! :bgrin:
Thanks all the folk at Larrivee; you made a beautiful guitar! :+1:. Chris
any post or story that contains the word "gobsmacked" is a good one in my estimation. :nice guitar:

I'm using D'Addario EXP lights on My LSV-11 and they are very nice for fingerpicking and light strumming. I don't know how they would be on a git like yours but I would like to find out first hand! Danny
Thanks for that. I have used D'addarios on a parlour, and they are pretty nice. I will buy and try...Thanks, Chris
