After considerable thought and a few recent purchases, I am now going to let go of my Taylor 412-M. This guitar was made in very limited production in 1996 and is hard to find. The guitar is all solid Mahogany Satin finish. The guitar features the pinless bridge system and Grover tuners. Beautiful tone and quite good projection for a X12. The mahogany has opened and is in no way muddy or flat. The guitar records exceptionally well, especially when mic'd. As the pictures reveal, there is a Fishman soundhole pick up installed that is easily removed. Warning! This is definetely a player's guitar. It has been played extensively and has travelled quite a bit around the country. There are several nicks and dings and one pretty good scuff that looks like a crack but does not go through the wood. The frets are great and the action is medium low with plenty of saddle to go lower. I should mention that the nut width is 1 11/16". The intonation is "spot" on and sonically this is a quite complex and diverse guitar. I am looking for $800 shipped. PayPal is fine.
