Check out the pics below. This is in like-new condition, only the strings have any indication of wear. I am somewhat conflicted about this, so if a sale does not get done, I will not be too disappointed. Actually I might even be relieved, as I will hate to see this one go. I purchased this from Guitar Adoptions this summer, and the picture and specs of this actual guitar may still be up on the site to peruse (even a sound file!). Just to refresh one's memory, this is a OO size guitar, mohag top and b/s. Full 25.5" scale, 12 fret. US$2000, obo. Comes with hard case of course.
My family is expanding by one more child either late Jan or early Feb. The past year I have indulged myself with some great guitars, and now I think I need to retrench a bit. So here she is. Buyer pays shipping.

If it were me, I would sell the heard and keep the prized cow.

Blue,
How many multiple personalities do you have trapped inside your head? LOL, your post just cracks me up. Didn't you just sell Sheila? You must be about 1/2 way there, quit tormenting yourself. Maybe you need a little trip to Foxwoods Resorts & Casino and see if you can fund the rest, you know do the ole' Tuffythepug funding approach.
hahaha...yeah those are some of my multiple personalities fighting it out and trying to decide how "we" could swing/hide a guitar of this caliber...
The "Shelia" monies have been used to buy a seagull grand and a couple of old Harmony guitars...one I'm using for slide work (best $48 I ever spent) and the 1203 I'm using for playing Mance Lipscomb tunes....my major adiction for the last year or so....the rest went to funding my other acquisition....my 3 month old daughter... Its was a fair trade I guess!!!
Your right though I should stop tormenting myself...there are WAY too many awesome guitars in the world to get carried away with....its just that this one is absolutely up my alley...my seagull is close to a 00 size...but a nicer one is certainly in my future....someday....maybe......sigh.... :crying:
Besides....gambling and me are not friends....that would put me in the poor house faster than this guitar addiction!!!
Cheers....someone please buy this QUICK!!!

That is one BEAUTIFUL guitar!! I'm happy/depressed that living so far away here in Sweden it's logistically out of the question. That is, I think so. Indecision may or may not be my problem.... :arrow
ugh! sigh....
Beautiful little guitar! If I didn't own a OOO-50 ... get thee behind me Satan! You shouldn't have any trouble selling her. I hope everyone ends up happy!

The OOO-50 is very sweet! I actually think it might be hard to sell her if I just have her up here, I mean it's a limited pool of folks who appreciate the hog-tops enough to shell out this kind of $$. I will probably list this on ebay sometime soon to enlarge the pool of possible acquirers. But hopefully it will be someone from this forum.
Hey L Fan,
Instead of ebaying it, why don't you ley Artisan in Franklin, TN sell it for you? They get way above average price on most guitars and their commision is modest. I trust them with everything! Its worth a shot.... You won't get good $ for it on ebay... I have a gut feeling on that. www.artisanguitars.com . Ask for Ellie or Bill. Just a thought...
Thanks for the tip. Maybe I will give them a call, what have I got to lose?
FYI, I put this up on ebay, for what it's worth:

Wish I had the money now. Oh, well . . .

I'm just happy I made the pledge not to buy any new guitars this year, otherwise I would be pulling out my teeth trying to see how this could be mine. As it is I have a bit of a gut wrench but nothing I can't handle!
FWIW if I had the money I'd buy it for you, Blue!
FWIW If you had the money....I'd let you.... :roll :roll :roll
Thanks Thistle....thats very sweet.... :thumbsup
cheers,
Blue
Well it didn't sell on eaby, because I didn't price it to sell. Must be an unconscious (or even quite conscious ) effort to try to find a way to keep it. I will look at possibly selling something else in my collection to thin the herd. At any rate I will be traveling for the next two and a half weeks so will not be able to respond to any interested parties, as I not sure about what kind of internet access I will encounter (am going to China for two weeks to adopt a baby girl).
Good luck with the adoption and congratulations. Also, congratulations on not selling the OO-50MT. I never played one, but I'm sure it's a keeper and I would be happy if it were the only one I had.
L-Fan, congrats on the adoption, I hope all goes well and you have a safe trip.
Just think how nice that 00-50MT will sound as a accompaniment when your singing Lullabies to your baby girl.
Thanks! Another great adventure begins...
If you come to Beijing you should contct me!
We are actually flying into Beijing, however we will not be spending much time there as after a brief cultural tour, we are wisked away to the province in which our daughter's orphanage is. Everything is planned in advance by our adoption agency - it will be quite an exhausting two weeks in China I'm afraid. I don't have the name of the hotel we are staying at with me. I'll have to ask my wife for our itinerary later today.
:thumbsup
Let me know, pls. If possible, I may drop by. It'd be cool to meet another Real Live Larrivista!
