Hello:
I am now Larrivee-less after trading my J-09-12 :(
Is anyone selling a used L-05-12?
I'm also interested of getting a hold of a nice 60's Gibson or Epiphone 12 string, dread body, with a pin bridge (not trapeze bridge)... I know, I know. But they are out there. I think the Gibson model would be the B-45-12 (a la Leo Kottke) and the Epiphone model was called the Bard.
Thanks,
Bob

I originally traded my J-09-12M for a rosewood dreadnaught... a Mossman, which is a great guitar by the way. I got a Martin D-12-20 to replace it, and started craving a Larrivee again, so I went on a 12 string search...
I went back to the store and started playing the J-09-12M and fell in love with it again! I originally sold it because I thought Jumbo Maple guitars were just too loud, too bright etc. Upon futher reflection, Jumbo Maple bodies really do make the best 12 strings... I mean, I knew this, but sometimes you have to live with some other 12 strings before it becomes clear. So I traded my D-12-20 for my old Larrivee J-09-12M, and we are living happily ever after.... Larrivee nation, can you ever forgive me? I still regret trading my L-05 in against a new CEO-5....
So, I'm not looking for a 12 string now... I have a great one! Thanks for the responses via email.
Bob
You know, this is a neat story. The grass is greener, eh?
Someone ought to start a thread re: buyers remorse. maybe I'll do it...should provide interesting reading.
