I don't want to interject seriousness into this discussion. But in a recent discussion about blackwood on another forum, an Australian stated that the trees are considered weeds in some areas. If thats true, then there is no long term shortage of the wood. Its just a matter of importing it and letting it age a bit.

That's what makes Blackwood guitars so rare... have you ever tried to make a guitar out of weeds? :huh:
