Rick Felkel of Elloree guitars in Louisianna is building me an OM size guitar. It has a western red cedar top and black walnut back sides and neck. It is short scale at 24 5/8 with a 1 3/4 nut and will be deeper than many OMs with 4 1/2 deep parallel sides. I havent had the chance to play any of his guitars, but the price was so reasonable-check his website or PM me, I couldnt resist. The guitar has the first coat of epoxy on it, and will have the finish applied and be done in the next 2 to 3 weeks. This will be my first handbuilt. Well here are the pics. laughingskunk,
Both cedar and walnut Sound great! Ive always been curious what they sound like together! Ive never have seen them on the same guitar. Looks like shes going to be a beauty! Post reviews once you get to playing, im excited to hear what you think.

Wow! It sure looks "thick" all around . . . I would think you should get quite the "thump" out of that baby!
Neat . . . and congratulations . . . looking forward to seeing and hearing about the final product.

Sorry to bring up this thread from so long ago but could you let me know how you like this guitar. I tried to email you but it didn't go through. How does it sound? What is the quality of build like. I'm thinking about one of these but I'm not quite sure as I may just save up and get a 2 to 3 thousand dollar guitar but that would take quite a while to save for. Thanks for your help
And how about some pictures? :gotpics:
That wood looks stunning all dusty in the shop, what does it look like now? :nice guitar:
