Title: NOT FS ANYMORE Larrivee OM-03R -- Excellent Condition/Tone
Post by: Camalex on October 27, 2006, 09:30:09 AM
OFF THE MARKET -- I'm keeping this gem. I kind of bonded with this guitar as I played it and sent pictures to possible buyers.  Sorry to disappoint anyone - but I had seller's remorse before the fact. :)

OM-03R -- I purchased this OM from a member of this forum about a year and a half ago (or more - time flies).  It has been very lightly played and has always been stored in a humidity controlled, smoke free environment.  New, this model retails for $1,349.  My Martin warranty service center installed a bone saddle provided by Bob Colosi.  It plays beautifully for fingerstyle and/or plectrum. It's set up for medium action and medium gauge strings (DGCFAD tuning) currently but the guitar can be set-up for lights if desired. One small pin-head sized mark on the back (hard to see), no other scratches/nicks and very light fret wear. Beautiful satin finish.  I am asking $700 for this guitar. Pictures provided upon request. From Larrivee site (note the upgrade to a bone saddle):

This particular Om is quite responsive to light fingerpicking and does not bottom out with aggressive flatpicking -- nice bottom end and sparkly high end -- the complete package -- it projects very well in a small ensemble and was my guitar of choice when I played in a "celtic jams" at Swannanoa 2005.  It's volume/projection cut through with a fiddle and hammered dulcimer in a number of O'Carolan tunes.  I play exclusively fingerstyle solo material but this guitar is just begging to be strummed too. I am selling because I recently acquired another OM with a far quieter voice more suitable to fingerstyle -- but this OM-03R needs to be played and it isn't being played right now.

For pics email me at: OM18V (at) COMCAST (DOT) net -- I will take pics this weekend if there are any requests.
