Any interest here in a used 2001 Jose Ramirez R1 classical?
Thanks,
Tim
Does this model have a cutaway?
Just want to add that Tim is a stand up guy to deal with. :thumbsup His descriptions are spot on
and packing of the items the best I have seen. Good luck with the sale.

Hi,
no, the R1 is a traditional body shape.

Kevin, likewise, you were great to deal with. No BS, just a straight up solid transaction. :+1:
So when do we get your report on the Sigurdson?
Is this the model with the solid Mahogany back and sides, and the Cedar top? Where are you located and what is your asking price? I would like to see pictures if possible. Also wondering about the action. Many thanks. ddorogu@schools.nyc.gov

Mr. Wopsle,
the R1 back and sides are constructed of solid African mahogany. The top is solid Canadian red cedar. Fretboard is ebony. Neck is Spanish cedar. Heel cap is mahogany. Headstock overlay is rosewood. Scale length is 650 mm, nut is 52 mm. Tuning machines are Fustero. Finish is lacquer. Maple purfing. Of course, it is made in Spain.
I bought this Ramirez from my friend, Jim Relja, who is a classically trained guitarist and a professional luthier.
The guitar has had two top cracks repaired, one on either side of the fingerboard. Jim also performed a full refret before I bought it.
The action is very good and comfortable to play. I would describe the tone as full, warm but not boomy or muddy in the lower registers.
I would like to have $800 for it. A top quality hard case will be included. I'll get some pics loaded to a hosting service and will add the links in a later post. I'm located in western PA, near Pittsburgh.
Hope I've answered your questions.
Thanks,
Tim

Just wanted to note that the top cracks are typical for a thin soundboard if the guitar was stored in a dry environment for any length of time. The structural integrity of the guitar is not affected or compromised due to the construction of the guitar.

A Friday bump. Any questions?
The cracks on either side of the Ramirez is actually a pretty good indication of authenticity. Lot's of Ramirez has that from the way they tightly fit the spanish heel. (geez talk about terrible grammar) :nanadance :nana_guitar :nanadance
Thanks for the input, Calvin.
Weekend bump.
