OK folks, gotta move something so this beauty is on the block. Handmade steel 6 string made by Jeff and dated 04, serial # 123. It's an OM body style, solid mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, sitka spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, pre-war Martin bracing, flame maple binding, tusq nut.
Outstanding resonance. Great finger style guitar. Includes OHSC in excellent condition.
No issues with this piece. I did have a pick guard made for it, and it has the removable adhesive backing.
$800 plus shipping to your locale. USPS MO preferred, add 3% for Paypal.

Based on feedback from some folks, it seems I have overpriced this guitar. Let's call it $700 shipped with USPS money order.
Thanks,
Tim
Emails received. I'll answer your questions tonight and will post pic links.

I have almost the exact same guitar. I'm not sure what feedback you got, but this seems to be a very reasonable price for a handmade solid wood guitar. Jeff has Larrivee connections, was one of the primary builders for Legend Guitars, and known for building some very nice classical guitars (although I can't claim personal knowledge of them). If your guitar sounds anything like mine, this is a good deal :thumb. Best of luck with your sale...bump.
Are you intersted in a straight trade for Larrivee Om03r in equal condition -- bone saddle no pick-up? or do you need to sell? I will be Washington County next week and we could meet to trade.
Thanks for the offer but unfortunately I need to turn the cash right now.
Tim
Folks, I urge you to call Jeff Sigurdson to ask him your questions.
I have been asked to compare this guitar to a Larrivee Om-03 for reference. I would call the Sigurdson very similar to the OM-03 in materials but much warmer in sound. It is nicely balanced across the spectrum, and not harsh. The action is excellent for finger style. It performs equally well when strummed or picked. Don't forget, this is a totally handmade guitar by a man that learned his trade under Jean Larrivee.
Thanks,
Tim
Correction and update on nut width. I had listed it at 1-7/8 in a previous post. Several people questioned it, so I took it to my local shop tonight. Turns out I was mistakenly measuring the outside dimension of the nut at the top, before it tapers down to match the fretboard. The shop tech confirmed that the width is, 1-3/4. I apologize and hope this error hasn't turned you off to this guitar.
P.S. Jeff Sigurdson confirmed that this guitar was built with a width of 1-3/4. (thanks Steve)
Where are you located?
Thanks
Peter
Peter,
I'm in Monongahela, PA. Where are you?
Tim
Tim,
I'm in Colorado. Just thought I'd ask and maybe get lucky and be able to see and play it. I'm not real familiar with the Sigurdson line. Which Martin does it resemble?
Thanks
Peter
Sorry, Peter, I'm not familiar with the Martin line so I can't answer your question.
I'm guessing the closest Martin to this one would be an OM-18 (Spruce over Mahogany).
Thanks for the assist.
Update. The Sigurdson is again available. The party that committed to buy backed out when it came time to send the money. Oh, well, his loss is your opportunity. I'll get the pics back up on Photobucket tonight.
This beautiful guitar is still available.
