I'm looking for ebony tuner buttons for my Larrivee parlor. I would like to find the ones with real ebony. Does anyone know where I can obtain these? Thank you in advance for your help.
Larrivee uses "ebonite" or artificial ebony because it is more reliable than real ebony. That was a fact drummed home to me last night when a chunk of my real ebony tuner came off my 12 string last night.

Does "ebonite" have similar tactile feel with real ebony? I like the feeling when I turn real wood buttons.
I want to take the gamble and install real ebony. I know I'm taking a little chance, but I'd like real wood. If anyone knows were to get them please let me know.
Try LMII or StewMac (address obvious)

Ebonite feels enough like ebony that Martin uses it to make fingerboards and bridges on some of their acoustic guitars and Ibanez uses it for fingerboards on some of their basses and electric guitars. Apparently it wears better than wood.
